Pricing questions
- Do I pay per email sent?
- No. Every email goes out through your own SMTP account, so there are no delivery fees from us. Your plan sets how many emails a month go through Neuctra Mailer. Your SMTP provider's own sending limits still apply.
- What counts as an email?
- Each recipient of each email: emails from your app with the SDK, emails you send from the Send tab, welcome emails, and test emails. One email to three people counts as three.
- How many people can I send a newsletter to at once?
- The Send tab sends one template to the contacts you tick in a list, up to your plan's daily number per service: 50 on Free, 2,500 on Pro and 20,000 on Business. If your list is bigger, everyone not sent yet stays ticked, so you finish the next day (it resets at midnight UTC). New services also warm up for 21 days, starting at 50 a day. Emails from your app with the SDK don't count toward this daily number.
- How are newsletters, email lists and templates limited?
- Each service has its own number of newsletters (people join from your website), email lists (addresses you paste or upload to send to) and templates. On Free that's 1 newsletter, 1 email list and 3 templates per service. Subscribed contacts are counted across all your services. Unsubscribed contacts don't count.
- What happens when I reach a limit?
- Sending from the SDK returns an error with status 429 that says which limit was reached. Welcome emails are skipped, but new subscribers are still added. The Send tab stops with a message and keeps the rest ticked. Creating a list, template or service past the limit shows a message asking you to upgrade.
- What happens if I move to a smaller plan?
- Nothing is deleted. Your services, lists, templates and contacts stay. You just can't add more until you're under the new plan's limits.
- Do unused emails roll over?
- No. Monthly usage resets on the 1st of every month (UTC), and the daily Send tab number resets at midnight UTC.
- How do I upgrade?
- Online payment is coming soon. Until then, contact us with the account ID from the Plan & usage page in your dashboard and we will switch your plan.
